Peer review policy

1. General information

Energy Internet appreciates all the peer reviewers’ time, contribution, and support. Only by collaboration with our reviewers can editors ensure that the manuscripts we publish are among the most important in their disciplines of scientific research.

The following types of contributions to the Energy Internet are peer-reviewed: Original research papers, Review articles, and Rapid communications. The articles published in this journal will focus on advanced concepts, technologies, methodologies, and practices associated with all aspects of power and energy systems. It aims to present the latest research achievements, which significantly impact the advancement of knowledge in the fields.

 

2. Criteria for publication

To be published in Energy Internet, a paper should meet four general criteria:

· Fitness of research field.

· Innovation

· Provides strong evidence for its conclusions.

· Interesting to the readers in related disciplines

 

Fitness of research field

Innovation

Innovation is the basic characteristic of academic value. The criterion of "innovation" should include three levels: first, whether innovation is established; second, the degree of innovation; and third, the value of innovation. Energy Internet is interested in papers with new concepts, new technologies, and new methodologies, and the paper’s innovation achievements should contain high theoretical value and application value.

 

Provides strong evidence for its conclusions

The author should provide sufficient strong evidence for all the paper's conclusions, claims, and innovations. It’s the reviewers’ responsibility to evaluate the correctness and feasibility of the methods, equations, data, and figures supporting the paper's conclusions. All supplementary materials must be directly related to the conclusions of the print paper and should not present additional interpretations or conclusions.

 

Interesting to the readers and researchers in related disciplines

Readers’ demand is an important criterion in Energy Internet review decision-making. Our readers are mainly university teachers and graduate students engaged in scientific research and teaching, Researchers in scientific research units, libraries and information departments, professional and technical personnel in production enterprises, and science and technology enthusiasts. Reviewers should consider that the purpose of readers reading this Journal is to grasp the research progress and the latest research results of related disciplines.

 

3. Instructions on different types of paper

Original research papers

Overall

Original research papers should report a breakthrough in a particular field, Reflecting the latest and cutting-edge scientific discoveries, technological inventions, and their development trends in disciplines. It plays an important role in promoting the development of science and technology. Such papers should have new viewpoints, new analytical methods, new data, and conclusions, and be rigorous and scientific.

Length

Original research papers may up to 20 pages, the data and ideas should be such that they warrant more space than a Rapid communication. The paper should contain no less than 20 references.

 

Review articles

Overall

Review articles should comprehensively introduce, analyze, and comment on the new research achievements and development trends in the discipline field, show the author's views, make predictions of the discipline field's or special technology's development, and put forward constructive suggestions and suggestions. Such papers should be highly authoritative and can guide the further development of the topics or disciplines under discussion.

Length

Review articles may up to 8000 words and include no less than 40 references and 5 display items (figures and tables).

 

Letters

Overall

Brief and insightful communications providing novel insights, opinions, or responses on specific scientific topics.

Length

Rapid communications should be no less than 3 printed pages (2000 to 2500 words and up to Five figures).

 

Views

Overall

Informed perspectives and comprehensive analyses from experts, offering insights into emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within a specific research area.

Length

Rapid communications should be at least 3printed pages (2000 to 2500 words and up to Five figures).

 

News

Overall

Short summaries highlighting recent breakthroughs, noteworthy findings, or announcements related to the journal's policies and scope.

Length

Rapid communications should be no less than 3 printed pages (2000 to 2500 words and up to Five figures).
